Don't think out of the box: destroy it!

   It's just fair

If you are playing IL2 and haven't paid for it, or know someone who does, you may find the following arguments worth considering:
In short: Oleg's team did a great job, the game is not overpriced and it doesn't come with annoying "security", you are very happy with IL-2 and play it almost every day.
Don't you think that the people who made this game have earned their money?

I mean, I downloaded a pirated IL2 DVD off the internet myself. I played a little, then I played more, then it became my main hobby.
At that point I realized that I should pay for my copy of IL2, which I did, knowing that it was the right thing to do.

In the case of IL-2 it's definitely a great game and fairly priced. In addition, the guy who wrote it and the company who distributes it are being very tolerant of modding and even pirate distribution, they deserve every cent and paying for a product that you are happy with is nothing more than right.

Besides being honest, which is good anyway, there is at least one more very important reason why you should pay for your copy of IL-2 despite not being forced to: it shows software and games companies that people *are* willing to pay a fair price for a good product.

Companies that understand that would save good money on "security" and use the much cheaper 'honor system' instead of expensive "security", which would make it possible to sell at a lower price, which in turn would encourage more users to pay without being forced to (fair price, good product, no annoying security... what the hell, here's your 10 bucks)

So, that's pretty much the point. You have a working pirate copy of IL-2? Well, keep using it if you want but please buy a legal copy. That is the right thing to do and you know it.
