Fusion Pack is updated fairly often. Updates are easy to install and are built to work right out of the box.
Get The Latest Update
Each release comes in at least 2 editions, one with only the latest changes after the previous update, and one that includes all changes since the latest stable version. Choose the latter if you missed an update or two.
Fusion Sounds v.6 is the official Fusion Pack from FP v.057. It's based on Jivers Total Sounds Mod with all the usual Fusion tweaks such as Slikk's Battle sounds re-sampled to 22k, custom 'screaming dive' effect for most planes including some jets, audible tire screech on landing, audible explosions, and more. This version seems to work fine on both PCI and on-board sound cards, as long as they are properly configured. This package is much smaller in size compared to the previous versions: only 82MB compressed (v.3 is 176MB in size and v.5 is 258MB)
Tired of waiting for v.7, that can take some time to release, our good friend Siddyus gave us this patch to fix some of the 'sewing machine' MGs that somehow ended up into the v.6 pack.
Fusion Sounds v.5
consists of v.3 +
patch 4.5.2 + v.5 Beta4 patch + some more stuff (not much), if I remember correctly. FPsounds v.5 It is based on Tiger's sound mod. It works fine on some systems and not so fine on other syestems.
Fusion Sounds v.3
seems to be the best choice on some particular audio cards. IMHO some engine sounds are way too quiet but some users report that they are OK so I guess it's about hardware/drivers/settings, as usual
Louder Jumo 211 for Fusion Sounds v.3.
makes the JU88 slightly louder on Fusion Sounds v.3. It doesnt work on newer versions because the Jumo 211 is already louder than that in all Fusion Sounds versions from v.4 up, so it would actually make it quieter. This patch affects the Ju-88, He111, early 109s (B series), and all aircraft that use the jumo 211 samples.
 Fusion Sounds Uninstaller (All versions)
removes any versions of Fusion Sounds. Double click on the .exe and point the installer at your IL2 folder. A small script will do the job and then delete itself from the IL2 folder (the .exe is still where you downloaded it. You can use it again next time you screw up :P )
This is identical to the previous version 6.1, except for including skins for some newly added planes, and for having both paintschemes and default skins in one package. Thanks to better packaging and better compression, size is almost a whole GB smaller than it was in 6.1 but still fairly big at 1.39 GB.

Standalone Mods + Some Patches and Fixes
Alternate Teams Markings (included in FP since 057)
This is an alternative to the "SAS Switched" version of Forgotten Countries. It works with Ultrapack, and it should work (probably) on HFSX too; it comes in 4 versions (all packed into one .7z archive) for games that have differnt voice packs installed, and includes simple instructions to choose the right version for you.
'Yeah, but what's the point with this mod?!?' find out
Adjusted Point of View V.4 (earlier versions have been included in FP since 052)
Inspired by Cirx PoV mod available at SAS but aimed at a different kind of user and serving a different purpose, namely being able to look through the gunsight without using the Gunsight View switch (you need the 6DoF mod and TrackIR to do that).
Disable Carrier Mod for UP (included in FP since v.054)
Ultrapack is great for many things but having the Carrier spawn mod always enabled is annoying because it makes planes "teleport" around the runway before take off, spawn too tight on the carrier deck and blow up as they try to unfold their wings, and more stuff like that, so it's cool to be able to turn it off. Unfortunately, disabling the carrier spawn mod also disables the catapult. (why the idiotic spawn mod was merged with the great catapult mod, is beyond me)
Effects Ultra Light (included in FP since v.43)
Minimal effects pack for good looks with no performance hit.
Mega Effects v.3 (version included in FP since v.058)
New version includes elements from Plutonium Effects, integrated with lots of eye-candy from other mods, all packed into into one JSGME option that Works on UP, HSFX, or any modded IL-2, and comes with an automatic installer read more
Cant. Z. 1007 Custom Grey skin (included in FP since v.44) None of the skins that came with the 'alternate skins pack' was good enough IMO so I reworked the one that was closest to acceptable and ended up with a fictional but kind of plausible skin.
Flyable Breda Ba65 (included in FP since 048.3).
Uses the R-10 cockpit, which in turn is a modified I-16 pit. This Works for sure on Fusion pack (tested and included) so it should work with Ultrapack and probably HSFX. It should work on any modded IL-2 as long as you have the AI Breda65 and the R-10 with cockpit.
Modified Pressure Gauge For Tyrl F4U cockpit (not included in FP any more) it moves the numbers around so the instrument shows the same values as it did in the stock version
J2M5 HDG Fix For Tainan-Kosho modded cockpit including the ones used by UP, and TKM new slot J2M's. (included in FP since 057) makes the dyrectional gyro show East and West correctly.

Gunsight Line-up for Cirx Cw21 cockpit (included in FP since 046)
The 'Lineup Bump" Adds a small bump to the Cw21 iron gunsight. Useful for TrackIR/Freetrack users who dont want to use the 'gunsight view': line up the bump added by this mod with the small bump that is visible on the edge of the cowling, and you're lined up (see picture)
Complete CW21 Cockpit including line-up bump and American measurements (see next section)
[Alternative:
Modified Files Only (Requires
Cirx Cw21 Pit)]
Morane and Cw21 Proper Measurements (Included in FP since 042)
Repainted instruments are used to switch measurements from Imperial to metric for the Morane, and the other way around for the cw21. Measurements systems have been switched for Airspeed and Vertical speed indicators but modifying altimeters using the same principle would result in weird spiral-shaped scales that would be very difficult to read. For that reason altimeters still measure in their original units.
Complete Morane Cockpit with auto-installer, including modified measurements in their own folder for easy disabling
Complete CW21 Cockpit with auto-installer (same package as linked in previous paragraph) includes measurement switch and line-up bump for gunsights, each in its own folder for easy disabling
[Alternative:
Modified Files only (Requires
Tyrl Morane Pit and Cirx Cw21 Pit)]
I'm publishing this because I've heard that some servers are still running MDS1.11 or earlier and that seems to be kind of hard to find as a standalone download. The link to current version 1.13 points at the original UP download page, and the earlier versions are copies that I picked from earlier versions of UP/FP/Whatever.
I did NOT ask Zuti for permission to do this but im assuming that it wouldnt be a problem as long as I link to his original downloads when available, and only publish stuff that has been released by him (not publishing anything that he didnt intend to be released)
That being said, there IS actually a limitation on the use of ALL mods by Zuti: Whatever you do, never, ever publish anything that includes any Zuti work at the AAA website. As far as I can understand that's what Zuti wants (better said, what he 'doesnt' want), and I think that we should respect his decision, if nothing else as a thankyou for the great enhancement that he brought to IL-2, so please no reposting, no linking at AAA. If you have some special reason for wanting to do that, you should talk to Zuti first (waste of time, he'll say no). You can contact Zuti at the UP website.
